The cartridge shown exhibits the typical deformation that occurs when we attempt to crimp the case mouth onto a bullet where there is no cannelure to accommodate the crimp. The remedy is to back off the seater die far enough so its crimping shoulder doesn't contact the case mouth during seating - or...
