Re: Dating Photographs
The soldier is wearing a mask so I'd say around 1918 to 1920 during the Spanish Flu epidemic. He's shouldering a Krag and wearing an older style uniform so he must be with the National Guard.

Re: Correcting Barrel Indexing
GREAT solution to a barrel alignment problem BR! I have a similar problem with a Model 1917 Eddystone.. I've had to correct the issue by tapping the front sight all the way to the left to the point of almost touching the left side of the front sight wing guard. Actually, I could probably use the lef...

Re: Model 1898 Krag Restoration Video
Thanks again Whig! I've enjoyed watching the Anvil/Primer series of videos but haven't seen that one. Mark Novak did another video were he takes a rusty shotgun and demonstrates how you can take a carding brush to restore the bluing without much effort. He explains that on many occasions the rust do...

Re: Pearl Harbor Day
Thanks BR for remembering! Mom was a ten year old girl living in Honolulu when Pearl Harbor was attacked...she remembered a lot of loud explosions and smoke in the distance. As a young boy growing up in Hawaii we really got a kick watching planes fly by that were used in the filming of the movie "To...
