Re: What is up?
KragFamily.jpg I certainly want to see this forum have more participation and content. This is the only forum I actively participate in. I am on just a few others, but they seem to be a bit more cliquish and, therefore, don't contribute much to them. I even ran a popular gunsmith off another forum ...

Re: What is up?
I think part of the answer is members are getting on the website, but not logging on. I'll raise my hand on that one. You can view all the posts without logging on and still see the photos and links. Never used to be that way, not saying either way is wrong. I view this website everyday, but have no...

Re: Amazing Summary of Current Voluntary Servitude We Have in the United States!
All this is pretty surreal. How can a "mob" enter the capital? Congresspersons scrambling for their lives? Can that actually happen in this country? Or was it allowed to happen? Something just doesn't pass the smell test here. Are all Trump supporters now looney tunes? Who will now stand up for cons...

Re: 1892 Krags - discussion starter?
In the expenditures report above, you will see circled in blue a description of rifles altered. The 3,508 rifles were only described as "magazine rifles" and not given a model, except they were altered to Model 1896. Then there were the "2,800 magazine rifles, model 1892 , altered to model 1892, sec...

Re: 1892 Krags - discussion starter?
This Springfield Armory report from fiscal year ending 6/30/1897 shows that 2,800 Model 1892 rifles were altered to 2nd Pattern. This second specimen likely is part of the the 2,800.

Merry Christmas.
Re: PIGS!
If I lived 15 hours closer I'd ask if you needed any help exterminating the vermin. Three years ago on Christmas Eve I was in a treestand in Louisiana hunting pigs at some inlaws. Few nights later a got one with my Dad's M1917 sporter. Life is different down there and it is agreeable with me.
